fc5 yum getting http 404 error
I issue the below and get this http error.
I know the network is good, posting now. Is this a repository issue and if so, what other sites can I use. Not sure where this setting is for the http site. Thanks for any help yum list Loading "installonlyn" plugin Setting up repositories vlc-contrib [1/7] http://download.videolan.org/pub/vid...ta/repomd.xml: [Errno 14] HTTP Error 404: Date: Fri, 02 Feb 2007 20:02:27 GMT |
A 404 error indicates that the file does not exist on the server. I've tried to load your link and even when I delete the trailing :, it still gives me a 404. The sad truth is that file simply does not exist on that server.
I'm a Debian guy so I'm not really sure how to 'refresh' (apt-get update to us Debian folk) your sources list, but there must be some way to do so. Any RPM'ers out there want to give it a kick? |
i moved the vlc repos out to another directory and enabled all the fedora repos and it ran just fine. Thanks for the input.
