I have a Fedora Core 4 installation of Redhat. I am installing it on a Dell Poweredge 6350 using the onboard Raid 0 array. I've done all the updates.
My problem is that if I call a reboot from SSH, or if I tell the machine to reboot from X, it will go through the process of killall and then freeze perpetually and never call a reboot. This requires me to hold the reset button to restart the machine. The machine starts up just fine and runs just fine.
The only thing I haven't done is update the Bios. The Flash was updated at one point (and this machine had a version of Linux on it before but I killed it) and I Repartitioned the HDD and started from scratch.
Can anyone point me at a definate candidate for what is causing this problem??? Having to physically go to a machine everytime someone calls a reboot from SSH on a development machine is inconvienient to the slightest degree.
