fc3 server install- network config part - help req.

I'm installing a server on fc3

i'm at the network config part of install.
And i want to know what i put for miscellaneous settings- gateway and primary dns.

i gave the server it's own static address outside the dhcp range of my router .

if the signal is coming from outside the order i've got it set up, the netwrok , is follows:-

modem, router then my linux server (& windows desktop)

i assume the gateway entry in fc3 install/network config part will take the router's internal ip address
and as for the primary dns well-
it is i guess either the router's external/public ip (starts 194. - ) or my isp dns server address (62...web-mslookup)

thanks for your help

also hostname- is that necessary to run a webserver? i only have the manual select option given my staic ip cofig. and it has to be quualified so where do you find out what your host name is? or is that stupid qustion?

If your router can do port forwarding, then it probably can give static IP addresses via DHCP assigned to a certain MAC. So this is the easiest way to go.
No need to match the hostname. Valid DNS record is all you need for people to find your machine.
