Question FC2 Sound


I am a Windows refugee. Having worked on UNIX platforms since 1992, I finally dropped Windows (XP) from my personal desktop and forged into the the dark side of Linux. I've installed Fedora Core 2 on a custom system, ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe mobo. Absolute silence. "alsamixer" from the terminal only gives me a "mic" channel. Tray icon is NOT muted. "lspci" output and "modprobe.conf" listing below. Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)

Maybe you can try running 'alsaconf', the modprobe.conf seem to miss lots of thing. Try this link:
