FC2 configuration problem

I just upgraded to FC2 from RH9. Most of the things went smooth but as always something is screwed up. My old files are intact but now some of the menus in X-Windows are jumbled up. Also i get this message when i startup:
Error activating XKB configuration.
Probably internal X server problem.

X server version data:
The X.Org Foundation
60700000

If you report this situation as a bug, please include:
- The result of xprop -root | grep XKB
- The result of gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/xkb

I would appreciate if someone can help since I dont know what it means...this is the first of many questions to follow...please bear with me.

Thanks,

possibly backing up your files, data, and configurations then doing a clean install of fc2 might be best.

Running the two commands listed in the error message:

xprop -root | grep XKB

gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/xkb

might not hurt either (post the output).
