FATAL ERROR: Cannot open disk drive


FATAL ERROR: Cannot open disk drive

i am using ubuntu 10.04, when i checked the partition using table using cfdisk command, that error displays. By the way, it is newly formatted. What did i do wrong? How can i fix it? thnx!

Try as root

yes,. i also tried it. when i used fdisk -l command, i can't see any error with the hard disk partition. But, why is that when using cfdisk, there is that error? What is the difference between the two? It really bothers me. How can i resolve it?

I'm not sure but I have only used that command with slack & gentoo.
It's a partitioning program.
