fat32 contents unknown

I managed to mount my FAT32 drive now with a little help, but all I get is the file and folder names; Linux doesn't recognise the stuff as what it is, everything is an "unknown type".
How can I mount my disk to finally access my files?

i don't really understand what your asking. you mounted and that's it. linux is not going to run a windows executable.

Of course I can't execute a Windows-exe. What I was trying to say was that the drive was mounted, but Linux doesn't know what to do with it. Next to every file and folder I get an "unknown type" in the type-column. How can I get the fstab to work properly and Linux to obey my commands?
Or is there somewhere else where I can solve this problem?

Let's see, what extensions do the files on your vfat drive have? Are the .wmv? .doc?

Does your console give you an error message?

You might want to show us what your fstab file entry looks like right now.
