Fan Noise problem - Xandros 3.0

I installed Xandros 3.0 Standard Edition on my VAIO desktop.

Whenever I boot into it, the fan makes a lot of noise. It happens when XP boots but then it becomes quiet.

I read a few posts about the same problem in other Linux flavors but not in Xandros.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've never come across it myself but since you haven't received a more valuable reply in 28+ hours I'll suggest you investigate the following:
-lm_sensors
-/usr/sbin/fancontrol

perhaps you could use these two keywords to search for any known issues in Xandros.
cheers
