fan control on the toshiba satelite pro A60

Hi all, I have Mepis installed on my toshiba satellite A60 laptops, it runs great but the fan is on all the time and is starting to drive me nuts. Does any body know how to enable the kernel modules to control the fan, and also make the Fn keys work?Cheers

Thanks for your reply pablob, the thread doesn't seem to contain the information I'm looking for but is quite informative in general power management information. I think that what I need to do is to enable some Toshiba specific modules on the kernel, but I don't really know how to do it.May be somebody with the same model of laptop can give me some pointers. Cheers.
