It's Danish. It means: "Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored or old ones used". Quote:
Looking at this link you should have more error messages that accompany with one you posted. Something like: W: failed to fetch http: (rest of the line) http://askubuntu.com/questions/45778...ey-have-been-i If your os in in Danish and your sources list is in Danish it will be very hard to assist you. |
The version showing in your link indicates you have Ubuntu 8.04 installed and support for that ended May, 2011. You can't upgrade and will have to do a new install.

Here's the link for the Ubuntu 14.04 -Download.

You could try this tutorial:
How to Upgrade Ubuntu 12.04 LTS to Ubuntu 14.04 http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2014/04/u...tu-14-04-12-04 If I had to guess the upgrade is not working it's becuase the sources list is not right. Meaning that the upgrade can't come from the trusty repo because it's not in your sources list. http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Ubuntu_T...d_Repositories http://askubuntu.com/questions/52439...-list-contents --:-Performing a fresh installation is most likely your best bet.-:-- |
Thanks
I think I'm opting for a clean install. So i'm backing up before that thank for the advice :-) kaare |
