Please tell us about your system---e.g. what version of Linux, and what software you are using. When you say "login", does that mean loggiing in to the computer--or perhaps logging in to your e-mail account?
the more detail you can provide, the better the chances of finding an answer.

I'm guessing that you are running a mail server----you say that you use webmail to access the account of "one of your users". Again, please give complete details...
If my guess is correct---can you use webmail to get to other user accounts?

I would export the e-mails, if possible, delete and recreate the account, and then import the e-mail back in, if it's important stuff.
