Failed to Start X server after Nvidia driver install

I recently installed the amd 64 Nvidia driver for my Gforce Go 6150. Worked very nicely untill i restarted. After restart i recieved the following
Quote:

Failed to start the X server (your graphical interface). It is likely that it is not set up correctly. Would you like to view the X server output to diagnose the problem. *prompt y/n*
After hitting yes i get the following
Quote:

edit: i have reinstalled ubuntu and reinstalled the NVIDIA drivers to arrive at the same screen. and neither of the help sites listed well.. helped.
Again sorry if anything is mispelled / mistyped had to do it all by hand. Hope this explains everything.

What does your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file look like?

Did you enable the Nvidia Driver within the Restricted Drivers Manager before or after installing the driver package?

In any case, I recommend attempting to install the driver using a package called Envy. It downloads the best driver for you, configures your kernel to use nvidia, properly configures xorg.conf, and installs the nvidia settings manager for you to tweak resolution etc. This was the only way I could get my Nvidia card working in Kubuntu.

Looks like you've got the wrong driver.

According to the Nvidia website, this is the driver for the GeForce Go 6150.
