failed to bring eth0 up
Hello,
I have a pc: AMD 2600+, 512 MB DDRAM I've installed Gentoo Linux on it but the network won't work althoug it thit in previous installation. I didn't really did anything different in the installation except for trying to config the kernel to my needs with: genkernel --config but I didn't changed much there if not nothing. when i start up now I get the following error: [ERROR] *Bringing eth0 up modprobe: modprobe: can't locate module *Failed to bring eth0 up ERROR: problem starting needed services "netmount" was not started [/ERROR] I don't want to reinstall just for this single problem. I hope you can help me. Thanks anyway for just reading this. Greets Dante |
Got the exact same error with my gentoo install.
Sorry can't help you, but I'l stick around for the answer, and maybe some useful input lateron.. ;-) |
