facing problem ie6 with linux

Dear Sir,

iam using opensuse 10.3 linux i have installed ie6 on linux and its installed successfully but my pc slow down after 10 minutes and memory raised up to 950 MB out of 1GB .i have installed ie6 because my client side packages support only ie6 (internet explorer) i have tried firefox,mozilla,opera,netscape,flock. but it doesn"t work but ie6 works sucessfully but problem is that my pc slow down i have tried a lot to findout that problem but iam unsuccessfull Pls sir resolve my problem anyhow iam waiting for ur reply my email id is GANESHBONAL@HOTMAIL.COM

Have you also tried getting those browsers to 'lie' about their identity? At least one (Opera) and probably others can be configured to say that it is Exploder if asked and that often resolves compatability problems.

Please don't do that:
  • The idea of the community is one of helping one another and you should not be encouraging people to e-mail to you directly as it reduces the value of the thread to others (unless you have, say, a very particular problem which makes it difficult for you to read the thread, and in that case you should be encouraging people to copy their thread reply to you).
  • Posting your e-mail address in the clear is a bad idea as it makes it easy for e-mail address harvesting bots to build e-mail lists, so that they can be sold to spammers. So, indirectly, it encourages spam, which is a bad thing.
