F12: boot splash has degraded to old version after installation of nvidia driver

i have installed nvidia drivers in my Fedora 12 laptop from fedora repo, these are all the packages that i have installed

yum install kmod-nvidia xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs.i686 xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs.x86_64
and appended rdblacklist=nouveau to the kernel in grub.conf

i have lost the boot splash animation of fedora 12 and instead i am now getting the boot splash that used to be in fedora 10.

what has happened wrong with my installation. please help.

Ditto, by the way, using the 173 series packages. However, since Fedora is the only OS on that computer, and it's generally turned on and left to do it's own thing while I make a cuppa tea, I hardly pay attention to it.

bootsplash, fedora 12, nvidia
