f-prot update
 

Hello,

recently, i installed f-prot antivirus on my slack machine. I even edited the contrab following the
instructions given. But every time i try to run check-updates.pl, this error comes out :

Error: Unable to include perl module: 'HTTP::Request'.
Please install this module and try re-running this script.

I went to the CPAN search site, downloaded the HTTP-Request-Form-0.952.tar.gz and installed it, but
the error still comes out.

any suggestions, Thank You

Have you tried the cron update method? I'm at school right now so I can't check but if I remember correctly it's cron -e and the proper editing syntax is located in the f-prot read me files.

Make sure you issue as root or you won't have the proper permissions to actually update the files.

yup, i already did that before i posted here, i followed the manual and edited the crontab but it still wont update.
