What does
host updates.f-prot.com
give you?

Quote:
[root@localhost root]# f-prot -dumb
[root@localhost root]#
That means that the file with no name in roots home
is not infected ;)

Try this one instead
f-prot -dumb -list *

Cheers,
Tink

cd /usr/local/f-prot/tools

Is your firewall blocking the traffic by any chance?

We had established that
host updates.f-prot.com
works ...

Can you ping any of the IP numbers it gives you?
Can you browse and ftp normally?

Cheers,
Tink
