What should I put in interface? In the example config file they put "eth1" but that doesn't work for me. I get an error "Could not resolve IP address for eth1". I have PPPoE internet, Also using Slackware.
ez-ipupdate does everything correctly except sends the IP given by my router to my computer. How may I make it use the IP that was given to my router from my ISP?
As far as I remember, it's not possible to use ez-ipupdate if you have a router. If so, there are two things you could do:
1. Check if your router has an option to refresh DynDNS entries... (most routers do)
2. Write a script that compares the current IP with the IP your DynDNS-Domain redirects to and updates the entry if they differ..

Yeah my router has that. And I didn't know about it. Anyway its asking for "Server Address" and "Host name". I put in "dyndns.com" for "Server Address" and the name I have already setup with dyndns.com in "Host name". But it doesn't change the IP for the name I use to reference my server. I have a D-Link router.
