Extra buttons on i8200

I am trying to figure to bind the extra buttons on i8200 laptop under Redhat Linux 9.0. The volume button a have already gotten to work but now I want the 4 others to work to. I heard that you can bind them with the window manager, but I don't know how to call the window manager in linux. I am using kde with Redhat.

Kind Regards
