external hdd file server


Hi all

i am trying to fix up an external hdd on linux so as to avoid some infection. Anyone know how to setup one ? any faint ideas??
how can i make it available for file inputs from windows?

Please be more specific: do you have a dual-boot system on which you wish to have the drive available on both Linux and Windows?

With most modern distributions, you can just plug in a drive and it simply works.
