Exiting X

I'm new to using Xwindows and I'm much more accustom to the console. I would like to get back to the console but it is seemingly impossible. Whenever I logout or press Ctrl+alt+backspace it takes me back to a graphical login prompt. I use RH9 btw.

I also don't want the emulated terminal, that does me no good.

Thank you.

As root user - change the 5 to a 3 in this line in your /etc/inittab file
