The above log shows that the mailserver exim is still sending out mail through a relay server, while the mailserver is stopped.
Code:
bash-3.2# ls /var/run/ | grep exim
bash-3.2#
Also I have not defined this relay server in /etc/exim/exim.conf.
Code:
bash-3.2# grep -R "mail.tld.be" /etc/exim/exim.conf
bash-3.2#
The only thing I did was add an entry for root in /etc/aliases "root:
vcserver@tld.be".
With the command "system-switch-mail" I only see 'exim' mentioned. So this is my main mailserver. Sendmail has been removed.
Don't know what I did in the past but the Asterisk-server that is running on this server is also able to send out mail somehow, without me explicitly defining the "mailcmd".
So also Asterisk takes by default the mailserver that is running on the system.
I would like to document what I have done, only I can't find any traces of my mail-configuration.
