Unhappy Executing a Script File

I need to run a script called install_drivers as root or sudo in order to finish the installation of some software.

The script location is :

<Vivado Install Dir >/data/xicom/cable_drivers/lin64/install_script/install_drivers/

I tried chmod a+x /home/User/Vivado/2015.3/data/xicom/cable_drivers/lin64/install_script/install_drivers
which didn't give me any errors and granted permissions to my understanding

When I tried
sudo .\install_drivers
I got the message command not found

I thought that was because I wasn't in the right pwd. so I created a directory by entering
/home/User/Vivado/2015.3/data/xicom/cable_drivers/lin64/install_script/install_drivers
and got the message that it is a directory.

Then I tried
sudo .\home/User/Vivado/2015.3/data/xicom/cable_drivers/lin64/install_script/install_drivers
and sudo .\install_drivers
and continued to get "command not found".

I know the script can be run with just a few entries in the terminal, but I'm having trouble figuring out where the problem is.
Thanks in advance.

You have your slash in the wrong direction:
Code:
# full path
sudo /home/User/Vivado/2015.3/data/xicom/cable_drivers/lin64/install_script/install_drivers

# or from within directory
cd /home/User/Vivado/2015.3/data/xicom/cable_drivers/lin64/install_script/
sudo ./install_drivers
