Question .exe files

I have downloaded .exe files from net.But I dont know how to run them...what application to be used??I am working on RHL-7.3.
Plz help..
Thanx ...a newbie

you want to run windows programs? use wine. it's pretty ropey though for an end user...

Linux does not use file that end in .exe... more than likely you have downloaded Windows files, in which case in order to run them you'll need to install Wine.

I found the instructions on the following site to be good:

filename extensions mean nothing to a proper UNIX distribution. There
have been many threads about this. . .
