evolution problem


I m using RH9 in graphical mode. I can't send mail using evolution but i can receive mail. I m using a broadband connection and the address of my ISP's incoming(POP) & outgoing (SMTP) mail server is <> but I get the following error message while sending mail.......

Error while performing operation:
RCPT TO <> failed: Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable

The pop and smtp address are the same? I've not seen that before.
Are you sure that is correct? I'd expect something like and

Actually, if I ping or I get a response from responds as well on this ip address, so it seems smtp and pop are combined in one server .

What mail program do you use?

You have your email set up wrong. You shouldn't be using your ISPs SMTP server to send mail for your yahoo account, try using either Yahoos SMTP server, or fixing your config.....
