Evolution not showing mail

For some time now, it receives the mail, but when the process completes I have nothing in my inbox. It worked just peachy for a long time, now this all of the sudden. I worry it is being intercepted somehow, how can I find out what is going on? I am an extreme newb, patience plz!

repo 01-09-2009 05:37 PM

take a look in the trash or junk folder

CMXILies 01-09-2009 07:11 PM

apt-get remove --purge evolution

re-installed but is still showing old messages..
anyhow, no mail yet, though I have low expectations to actually receive it when i do.

I'm happy to report, I am now receiving mail.
Thanks for letting me clutter your message board.
More to come, I promise ;)

CMXILies 01-09-2009 07:49 PM

Oh wait,.
Where could I find all the emails I received but didn't recieve?
any help thanks!~

repo 01-10-2009 02:45 AM

if you use fetchmail, take a look in /var/spool/mail or /home/user/mail
do you use by any chance procmail, or a forward rule anywhere?

CMXILies 01-11-2009 02:46 AM

I removed all the rules when the problem started. i don't know what procmail is.
In var/spool/mail all I find is rkhunter reports.

Lots of this:
