Evolution mail wont send

I am using Debian and evolution mail, I cannot send email and it sits in the outbox forever. It happened once before but I forget how I recovered it.

Evolution usually gives some indication of the problem. You might have to manually send mail, which means when you hit send it just moves to the outbox. Then, when you hit 'Send/Receive' all the mail comes in and goes out. You can make it automatic in 'properties'.
