You don't provide much to go on. Please provide more information, such as what version of CentOS, the make/model of the computer, the make/model of the ethernet chipset, and the like.

Could you run and post the results of the following command using CODE tags please;

Code:
lspci -nnk | grep -i -A3 net
This will tell us a few things;

* If your Ethernet controller is bing detected at all by the system.
* What (if any) drivers are being loaded for it, and/or are in use by it.

And you also need to read the LQ RUles about text-speak, and not using it.

As said, your question is meaningless as stated...it is like saying "my car won't start, tell me why". Without knowing symptoms/make and model, etc., etc., we can't tell you anything.
