Angry eth0: UP BROADCAST MULTICAST but *not* RUNNING!...

Hi!

I just installed Gentoo, and now im trying to configure the network... The eth0 card is recognized at boot time, but I cant use it!... I cant ping my gateway (192.168.0.1) -> HOST UNREACHBLE and when I issue 'ifconfig eth0' it tells me UP BROADCAST MULTICAST thats it! But i remember that when eth0 was working, it would appear a RUNNING at ifconfig output... so I guess i have to do something to make eth0 RUN (is that right?!)

Im lost... :-( I mean, that eth0 card is recognized, they know she's there... i wanna talk to her 'go girl! do your stuff!'... but i dont know how to do that... ;-) Please help me out on this one!!....

Talking Solved!

After hours of despair, the problem was solved! :-)

The problem was that i have 2 ethernet cards: one on board and another one connected. The one I use to connect to the modem is the onboard one... but its not eth0! Its eth1! So I had to reconfigure everything to eth1... and eth0 has another IP, just if I want to use it eventually...

Thats all folks!! :-)
