Sorry, There doesn't seem to be a way to delete posts. I got an error message when I did this one, posted another and ended up unintentionally double posting. Sorry for the inconvieniance, please post replies to other post.

You could use the rpm to check and correct the permisson of the files:

To check the files of a rpm installed:
# rpm -V package_name

To check permissions of all packages:
# rpm -Va

To correct permissons automaticly:
# rpm --setperms package _name

You can find more information in man rpm or maximun-rpm...
