/etc/fstab error - RH9
I am running the following command
fsck -b <block> /dev/sda1 and fsck -b <block> /dev/sda2 I get the following error when I hit enter: WARNING: couldnt open /etc/fstab: no such file or directory. I am booting off the RH9 cd1 and running recuse mode. Any ideas why it wont let me fix the superblock. |
when you go into rescue mode the partitions are not mounted. so it is not able to find the '/etc/fstab' file and so not able to map the partitions if that is the word i can use.
anyways i think you can login into single user mode and then do these things |
