ERROR: Unable to locate IOAPIC for GSI

As the system boots up, these messages show up:

ERROR: Unable to locate IOAPIC for GSI 13
ERROR: Unable to locate IOAPIC for GSI 1
ERROR: Unable to locate IOAPIC for GSI 12
ERROR: Unable to locate IOAPIC for GSI 8

What might be the cause?

Thanks,
Mike

Does everything work? If it does, the bios did something wrong, but Linux handled it OK. It would be interesting to know which motherboard you have, and which bios version.

If some things don't work, try booting with "noapic" kernel commandline option, and report what happens then.

The output of "lspci" would be interesting as well: I think it shows the interrupts that the different devices are connected to, and I think it lists interrupts 1, 8 12 and 13.... (i.e. if these are the USB controllers, check if you have USB connectivity).

Everything works so far! It's a laptop I'm using, Toshiba Satellite A15-S1292 Motherboard. Not sure which bios version it is.
