error "Perl(File::Basename)" is needed by application
 

hi,

while installing a rpm in SuSE 9.0 i got the following error

error: Failed dependencies
Perl (File::BaseName) is needed by nesc-1.1.1-2

I have perl v5.8.1.

what does this error means?
please help me

It means you need to install teh File::Basename module. Here's it's location on CPAN

I have Basename.pm file in /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.1/File/ directory,
will this not work?,

if i hv to install the new module then
the link given by you does not show me the download link for the basename module. can you please tell me the exact link.

from my side i searched in this list but could not find basename module
