error opening the cache


error: opening the cache (E:encountered a section with no package: Eroblem with mergelist/var/lib/apt/lists/ci.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dist_precise_restricted_binary-i386_packages, the package list or status could not be parsed or opended)

You may try the following commands in a terminal:

sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/* -vf

sudo apt-get update
