error occured during the booting process from the linux.
confg. of my pc is
matherboard:945(intel) processer:intel(r)pentium(r) d cpu 2.80GHz 2.80GHz ram:512 i have windows installed on my pc i know how to install linux i succesfully installed the slackware fedora etc on my another pc but on my this pc even if i am done with the linux installation process ,some error occured during the booting process from the linux. for example i installed slackware on my pc but when i boot from linux(slackware),following error massage occured after autorun is done. autorun done udf-fs:no partition found(1) (1,1):oc fs2_fill_supper:561 ERROR:superblock failed VFS:can not open root device "800" or unkown_block(8,0) please append a correct "root=" boot option kernel panic -not syncing:VFS :unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0) please anybody tell me how to overcome from this error waiting for the reply |

You mention "Slackware, fedora, etc..."....exactly what version/distro of linux are you running?? Which did you install? Which one is giving you an error? Are you trying to dual-boot the PC? If so, there are different instructions to follow for correcting a MBR problem for either Windows XP or Vista...but you don't say which of those you're using either. |
