Error message trying to set monitor mode

Using fedora 22.

Im just starting with aircrack-ng and reaver and when i try to use "iwconfig virbr0 mode monitor" and i get this error message:

Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) : SET failed on device virbr0 ; Operation not permitted.

I have a COMPAQ CQ58 laptop with this network card:

10/100BASE-T Ethernet LAN (RJ-45 connector) or is it

Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter ?!

Someone please help me so i can go on and learn more. Thanks!
