Error message re: Kubuntu 19.10

Have tried to downloaded Kubuntu 19.10. On trying to open it, am getting error message - "application has failed to start because it's side by side configuration is incorrect." Have uninstalled Microsoft C++ files, then reinstalled them, still getting the same error message. Can anyone help???

What are you trying to accomplish? Ubuntu is an operating system not an application.

To elaborate on the previous post Kubuntu is an operating system just like Windows. You can install it alongside Windows as a dual boot system or if your computer has the capability as a virtual machine. Here is the documentation.

Ubuntu upload update - thunderbird error message

In the process of installing (yay!) Ubuntu package onto my PC - i came across an error message -
E-Sub process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Following packages in a broken state
thunderbird-locale-es, thunderbird-locale-en etc.

All relate to various locales it seems. Please advise to repair/fix this as the install process stops at this point.

Thanks!
