error message given while trying to download adobe flash 10.1

When I try to download the recent adobe flash 10.1 for my linux drive, I get the following error dialog box:

“cannot get lock”
“cannot get the exclusive lock on the packaging backend. Please close any other legacy packaging tools that my be open.

Yum is locked by another application. The other process has the command line '/usr/bin/python /usr/share/yumex/yum_childtask.pyc 2 True False' (PID 2053)

I'm at a lost right now, I tried researching to find a possible reason, but I'm coming up short. I have a dual boot laptop with both fedora core 12 and windows7. Could there be a conflict between the two drives? I have the YUM extender on my linux drive performing the updates for me. I tried doing a YUM update via the terminal viewer, but I still get the same message.

Any ideas as to why I'm getting this message, or how to fix this problem?

When i run the install process, I don't have any other programs running or YUM installing additional packages.
