Error message during audacity loading
Almost all the times I run audacity 1.2.2 under my mandrake 10.1 I receive the message "There was an error when trying to access the audio. It is not possible read or write audio" in a gray box in the center of a white window.
May someone of you help about how I solve this trouble? Ricardo |
Probably some other application is using sound device. Try turn off everything which can use /dev/dsp (it could be some mp3 player, movie player, or some sound daemon) and than run audacity.
Maybe you should also check rights to /dev/dsp - 666 should be OK. |
I think, after some analysis that your answer is not correct, bro.
I hit "ps a" commands before run audacity and I can't find any process that I may suspect that is using sound devices. Actually I call audacity just after boot linux and open a console window. Even if I call it from KDE interface the message is the same. One time or another I don't receive the message. I can't identify what happens(or not) when this occurs... May some other people give any suggestion? |
