Error message?
I am a comparative newbie. I am running Ubuntu 10.10 and an error message has started to appear on the top panel:
W:Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/gm-notify-m...rce/Sources.gz 404 Not Found , W:Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/gm-notify-m...64/Packages.gz 404 Not Found , E:Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead. Everything seems to be working OK? What should I do? Should I ignoreit? How to get rid of Error Icon in Top Panel(!)? |

That's what I found , but I think you need to edit etc/apt/sources.list Launch pad shows you have to create an account |
Hi johnkelly.110,
the error tells you that the website doesn't exist or is down. You may compare: http://ppa.launchpad.net/gm-notify-m.../ubuntu/dists/ this part of the adresses in your post is working, but the "maverick" part doesn't exist. Markus |
