error loading pfmon

Hi guys, has any of you tried installing pfmon on itanium ia64 machine? I managed to install successfully without any errors being thrown out but when i tried executing it, it produced this error message :

pfmon: error while loading shared libraries: libpfm.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I installed only the basic libraries : libpfm3.3 witout the libunwind and i already have libstc in my server. Any ideas what went wrong? I am not sure if my config.mk file is accurate maybe somebody can post his version of config.mk so taht i can try recompiling with the new settings. Thank you so much in advance.
