Error launching installer in Linux RHEL undefined symbol: Xutf8TextListToTextProperty
Hello,
I am trying to launch an installer for a specific software in my machine, and it failed showing me the following message:
Extracting the JRE from the installer archive...
Unpacking the JRE...
Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive...
Configuring the installer for this system's environment...
Launching installer...
/tmp/install.dir.8758/Linux/resource/jre/bin/java: symbol lookup error: /tmp/install.dir.8758/Linux/resource/jre/lib/i386/xawt/libmawt.so: undefined symbol: Xutf8TextListToTextProperty
What does it mean? something related to the operating system? could it be solved easily?

Even though, his question has got no answer and it has become very old, I was able to sort it out after a week's time of tiring effort.
In the case of an AWT application being launched from Linux OS, starting from JRE 1.5 onwards, need to set the TOOLKIT information in the system level or export at runtime as below,
