error installing gtk---devel-1.0.3-1.i386.rpm on FC1
 
ok, I had a problem when I went to ./configure (the software was ripperX)and did some research here. I guess I needed the gtk-devel program. So I found a website that had gtk---devel-1.0.3-1.i386.rpm, and went to install the software. well, soon through the install an error appears saying that I don't have "GTK--" and a C++ library.

I looked around everywhere to find a "GTK--" program to make the install work, and I came up with nothing.

can someone enlighten me on what I need to download and install to fix these two problems?

To install a devel package you have to install the one that requires the devel. In this case you have to install the gtk package, something like gtk-1.0.3.1.i386.rpm
