error in installing mysql i.e. mysql-5.1.34-linux-powerpc-glibc23 in centos 4.4 i686
 

i am trying to install mysql5.1.34 in centos 4.4 i686 machine.i have untar the file and chown mysql to directory /usr/local/mysql which is soft link to directory mysql-5.1.34-linux-powerpc-glibc23 in /usr/local.

Neither host 'tb1.stp.cdac.ernet.in' nor 'localhost' could be looked up with
./bin/resolveip
Please configure the 'hostname' command to return a correct
hostname.
If you want to solve this at a later stage, restart this script
with the --force option

You don't need the powerpc version for your system. Better get the i686 version
