Error compiling NdisWrapper
I'm running a fresh install of SuSE 10.1 and my computer has a Linksys WMP54GS installed. Currently, the only way I can access my network is wireless, so I have no other alternative. My problem is that when I follow the installation on its site (I would give a link but the forum is saying no), I can only get as far as halfway through "Compile and Install." When I type "make distclean" it works just fine, but when I type just "make" as instructed it gives me the following:

make -C driver
make[1]: Entering directory '/home/abatnij/ndiswraper-1.21/driver'
Can't find kernel build files in /lib/modules/;
  give the path to kernel build directory with
  KBUILD=<path> argument to make
make[1]: *** [prereq_check] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory '/home/abatnij/ndiswrapper-1.21/driver'
make: *** [all] Error 2

What does all this mean and how can I fix it?

[EDIT] Nevermind, I found my answer on google.

I've run into this two when I was configuring my Wireless card. The compiler is complaining because there's no link to the kernel build files in the in that directory. In the ndiswrapper site they instruct users to make this link using this command:

ln -s /usr/src/linux-<kernel-version> /lib/modules/VERSION/build
Take a look at it for yourself at

Good luck!
