error at end of bootup, preventing access to desktop

I'm a Linux noOb obviously, still trying to master the ins and outs of installing and using programs and other features on Linux. Last night i updated Fedora and today upon boot up i get the following error:

There was an error loading the theme Bluecurve

Unable to load image-loading module: /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.2.0/loaders/ cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory

Any help would be appreciated. I kno w very little about this OS and working my way around it. I have only been using it about 2 weeks.

thank you.

I had this problem also, and just fixed it. What evidently happend was two files got deleted that prevented the start-up (/usr/lib/ and /usr/lib/ which was linked to the first file). So, here's what I had to do, and I'll go through step by step since I'm also fairly new to linux and it took me a little bit to figure it out.

1 - When you get to your grub boot loader, edit the boot process to change your run level to three (so, select your boot kernel, edit it, and add a '3' to the end of the line that starts with 'kernel', then press 'b' to boot off this new line since your changes won't persist)
2 - Now, you'll have a command line that you can work with. So, now find a buddy who has Fedora installed and get a copy of the /usr/lib/ file and copy onto your machine.
3 - Create a link to this file as
4 - Reboot, and you should be good to go

I hope that helps you.

or if you don't have a friend with fedora - you can use wget or lynx to d/l it in console

or, you may be able to use a different WM to find it with mozilla, etc.

I don't know much about fedora and RPM - but is in libpng-1.2.5-6:

but you should look thru the rpm listing here:
