error about no application installed for executable files


i am using linux as openSUSE
i am trying to run eclipse ond other executable files on opensuse when i click on executable file then it show error as
"There is no application is installed for executable files"
when i click on search button it show no appication found.

can you please tell me which package or rpm is required to execute executable files on opensuse???

is the file chmod +x also what language is it in java? do you have java installed same for php etc. If it's in c/c++ try running it in a terminal see what it says. Is it a 64 bit program trying to run on a 32 bit system or a 32 bit program trying to run on a 64 bit system without the 32 bit libraries?
