Question Error 8 Kernel must be loaded | Dual boot xp / fedora 10 | Help!!

Hello, was wondering if anyone could help!!

I attempted to try and dual boot my comp with xp and linux. At first i tried ubuntu, that wouldnt get past the grub boot loader after installing it. So i thought maybe fedora 10 was the way forward. I installed this and removed the existing Ubuntu partitions. Now after the install it does the same thing.

If i type boot in the grub bash shell thing it says, Error 8: Kernel must be loaded before booting. If i boot via the live cd and click install again, i get an error message saying serious problem install cannot continue!

Any idea what the problem is? Its a pain beacause i cant even boot to xp anymore.

Please help!!
Thankyou!!

1. Describe your partitions

Use the Fedora dvd to install grub again
(after chroot)

or do a clean install

If you want a quick fix to get to WinXP again, do the following:-

1. boot from your WIN install CD and choose some sort of recovery console.
2. type in "fixmbr" - this will restore the Windows master boot record.

You should then be able to boot to windows.

As for the F10 stuff, did you check the media you were installing from (during the install process) to ensure that the media was OK?
