Erratic Trackpoint on IBM R31 using OpenSuse 10.3
 

By erratic, I mean that the trackpoint mouse works very well most of the time. Occasionally however, it takes a mind of its own and travels at warp speed around the kde desktop opening everything it can, then comes to rest off screen. I then use my usb mouse and patiently close all the windows and go back to restart the system using the usb mouse. This isn't a catastrophic event, just irritating. If anyone has a solution that I can implement using my limited linux editing skills, I am listening!
