Epson XP-640 Printer - Debian problem

Hi,
I am new to this forum and to Linux , Ubuntu, Debian & Zorin to name a few of the distros I have installed and played around with.

Currently I am using Debian in the form of Robolinux which I find really good for what I need to do. I have just bought an Epson XP-640 inkjet printer which I am having problems installing. I have downloaded all the software mentioned on the Epson site and some others but every time I try to install iget an dependency error of lsb3.2 missing. I have checked and I have lsb4.1 installed so surely that is good enough?? Any help in solving this problem would be much appreciated.

First, welcome to LinuxQuestions.org. A quick search online shows others running Debian-based distros have experienced similar problems when installing these Epson driver packages. For example
https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showth...on-16-04/page2
https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=171244

Based on the discussion in those threads, it might be that not all the requisite lsb packages (eg lsb-core, lsb-printing) are installed perhaps, so check which lsb packages are installed first. I'm not a Debian user, so can only offer general guidance here, but try something like the following...
Code:
dpkg-query -l 'lsb*'

Try
Code:
$ apt-get install lsb
I had the same problem with an Epson printer not too long ago. That cure it.
